well, i'm in my 30s

I know I am going to regret saying this next year, but damn! 32 seems rightly up there. I wanted to do so much more by now. I still have such a bucket list.. so many more buckets to buy!
In my 32 years I have managed to:
1. get myself pregnant
2. participate in many lurid relationships
3. lose my pesky tonsils and 7 extraneous teeth
4. develop a wicked franzia addiction
5. need glasses and vein surgery
6. own two separate smart phones (neither or which i have dropped in the toilet)
7. have had two amazing pet dogs who never loved me back and 6-12 cats that didn't know i existed
8. travel to colombia, new zealand, australia, tasmania, scotland, spain, france, alaska, italy, greece and once.. i saw monte cristo from a plane window. after the captain told us what we were looking at
9. obtain a college degree that i never used for one second of my life thus far
and
10. be happy about 78% of the time

alright.. i have it pretty good. 32 and 2012... lets do this thing!

role models

my recent baby incubating has given me a fair amount of time to practice my eyeliner technique, see how much ice cream i can fit in my mouth and watch hours of netflix instant play. these hours usually end passed out on the couch with a dog warming my head and drool pooling on the sofa pillows (i need to get new sofa pillows).
far be it for me to miss my once drunk and active social life, however, cause all this shut eye has given me plenty of time to dream about my favorite TV heroines.

1. Olivia Benson, SVU. So good with the victims! Can seriously rock the tucked in solid color tee.

2. Helen Harriott, All Creatures Great and Small. Not at all squeamish, is not ashamed of her belly and when a man tells her he loves her, she replies "I know."

3. Tammy Taylor, Friday Night Lights. Always takes her time to make a big decision (except for the Julie slappin'), loves her nightly wine and manages to keep Coach guessing.
Seriously, I would get a No Fear/Dolphin tattoo on my face if I could have a relationship like her and Coach... as long as that relationship was with Tim Riggins.

missing the sky

salt lake city has it ups, but one of it's serious downs is the smog blanket that visits us almost all winter. a friend who works at the department of air quality sent me this lovely chart. Any time the brown circles go over the orange line, we are above the national standard and are not so slowly choking to death.
"they" say that the copper mine here in the valley emits 30% of the pollution. how do you get all erin brockovich on a company?
watching videos like this is keeping me sane. i miss the stars.

rocking

Probably shouldn't be looking without a big enough place to live, but I have a feeling I'm going to want to be rocking in a few months.
1. would the arms be too cold?
2. love! but $600?
3. may need a granny bar to help me out of this one
